Let’s Talk Mobile Apps

Last week, I told you about QR codes you can purchase for your listings (the first one is FREE!).  And I promised to tell you about mobile apps this week. So here goes…

Mobile apps, like QR codes, are used with smartphones.    A mobile app (application) is software designed specifically for smartphones, tablets, and other small hand-held devices.  Even if you don’t have a smartphone, your customers do!

Through Hillside Software, a mobile app has been created for EmeraldCoastHomesOnline.com.  Anyone looking at real estate along the Emerald Coast can download the app from the iTunes Store (and coming soon, the Android Market) and have easy access to all the listings on the public website.

When they use the ECHO app (as we’re calling it), they see contact information for the listing agent and can contact that person directly.  But wouldn’t it be better if they could contact YOU instead?  That option is available too – through the agent-branded mobile app.  It’s all the same listings as the ECHO app, but when the possible buyer is ready to talk about the listing, they can contact you directly!

Ben Bock with Hillside Software showed a live demo of the mobile app at the July 15 Membership Lunch.  Take a look!

The ECHO app is absolutely free for anyone who wants to use it.  Feel free to let your customers and clients know about it.  But, if you’d prefer to make sure your sphere of influence keeps you top of mind, you might want to consider the branded app.  It’s $9.95 a month with no contract required.  Use it a few months and want to stop?  No problem!

Check out www.BestHome4Me.Com for more information or to get started. And let us know what you think about the mobile app and the QR codes!

Are there other technology tools you’d like to see ECAR bring to members?

  1. When I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a
comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment.
There has to be an easy method you can remove me from
    that service? Thanks!
